Eric Rollings, candidate for Orange County Commission District 3, announced an endorsement today from State Representative Carlos Guillermo Smith (D – Orlando).
“I am proud to announce my support and endorsement for my friend, Eric Rollings, for Orange County Commission District 3,” says Smith in a video shared today by the campaign.
Smith cited Eric’s active preservation of environmentally sensitive lands east of the Econ River, and his work to regulate harmful plastic bags and styrofoam at the local and state level.
“Eric Rollings is going to be a strong voice for the environment on the Orange County Board of County Commissioners,” Smith said.
Rollings would be the first openly-LGBTQ Orange County Commissioner in the county’s history. Eric Rollings is the elected Chair of the Board of Soil and Water Supervisors, and has been a champion for affordable housing, transportation, and planning ahead to meet Orange County’s needs.
